When we heard about the proposal for Mapleham, a new 18-hole parklands-style Championship Golf Course at Pegasus town in North Canterbury, we were keen to help out. Aside from the golf course itself, Mapleham will be equipped with a driving range, practice greens, swimming pool, tennis courts, gym and clubhouse so promoter’s Infinity Investments needed our help to illustrate the project for prospective investors. Armed with Planning Consultant Boffa Miskell’s artists impressions, documentation and architectural plans we created two photo real images of the prospective course and clubhouse. The four person team from ARL developed a contour frame and then covered it with the manicured grass of the fairways and greens, landscaped the surrounds with mature trees and added golfers, restaurant goers in the clubhouse and lakeside reflections in CG. The finished renders were blown up to billboard size and used in an international marketing campaign for the Golf and Sports club, set to be completed by August 2009.
