Giving 360 video a Sporting Chance

09 Jun 2016

ARL's Sports Division, Virtual Eye, is often the avenue by which the wider public sees our technology for the first time. Virtual Eye experience in headset technology for America's Cup events in 2015 gave ARL a headstart when producing and supplying 360 degree video for Ngai Tahu Tourism at the recent TRENZ convention in Auckland. Virtual Eye Golf also showcased 360 degree video at the 2016 BMW PGA Championships at Wentworth. Featuring 3D graphic overlays showing flightpath, shot length and final distance to pin, users could virtually stand on the fairway and see the player take a shot with the freedom to look anywhere they wanted.
