Virtual Eye is the Sports division of ARL, and is a world leader in the provision of 3D TV graphics with over 25 years industry experience. This started with the sport of Sailing and the America's Cup in 1992, when Virtual Eye's TV graphics revolutionised the way sailing fans watched the sport. Virtual Eye now provide services on multiple platforms, even winning an Emmy for the Official America's Cup App, and we've also extended our range into the prestigious Volvo Ocean Race event, the 52 Super Series (TP52), XCat Powerboats and Star Sailors League, to name a few.
Virtual Eye has also had the privilege of working on the major Golf events for many years, providing services for the European Golf Tour, Open Championships, Ryder Cup, US Open, New Zealand Open and more recently the PGA Tour. We have covered Cricket since 2001, showing fielding positions, scoring information, wagon wheels, bowlers pitch maps, 3D flyins to stadia, augmented graphics and since 2010, DRS tracking with predictive path. Virtual Eye has also been involved with Motorsport since 2000 with the Race to the Sky Rally, the World Rally Championship, NASCAR Daytona, the Rally of New Zealand, Formula 1 and more recently the Supercars Championship.
Over the years Virtual Eye has told a wide range of sports stories, from Aerobatics Competitions, Hot Air Ballooning, Para Gliding, Hang Gliding and Gliding, through to the Extreme Sports of Snowboarding and Skiing. Most recently Virtual Eye has been covering the Red Bull Freeride Tour, Burton US Open, Simples Session and Snowboard Championships, as well as the UCI World Cup Mountain Bike Series 2015, Downhill and Cross-Country events and the MotorCross Hare Scramble and 2016 Hard Enduro Series.
