Airways International and ARL first deployed the TotalControl Air Traffic Control (ATC) simulator at the Airways training facility in Christchurch back in 2006. By 2012 TotalControl was also installed offshore for South Africa’s Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS), and these days TotalControl is the ATC training simulator used by 17 Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) and their respective aviation training providers around the world.
In 2020, ARL delivered multiple Norwegian airport simulations to Airways International, who in turn delivered large tower simulators and surveillance simulators across sites throughout Norway to client Avinor Air Navigation Services. The following year ARL produced more TotalControl airport simulations for Airways International and South Africa's ATNS, and then Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport in Puerto Rico in 2022. In 2023 ARL delivered simulated Nepalese airports for Airways International and their client the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), so that now Nepalese air traffic controllers can train in a 360-degree tower simulator, an approach surveillance simulator and an area surveillance simulator, with six simulator pilot positions.
