Airways International and Animation Research Limited (ARL) first deployed the TotalControl Air Traffic Control (ATC) Simulator at the Airways training facility in Christchurch back in 2006. ARL has continued to build upon Total Control in partnership with Airways International, and now 18 Real-world New Zealand Towers have been simulated within a 'Full World’ model of New Zealand's airspace jurisdiction.

2011 was the first time TotalControl was installed offshore - for South Africa’s Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS), and today simulates 5 Real-world South African Towers. ATC Training providers in Spain were the next to benefit from the deployment of TotalControl ATC Simulators, and 7 Real-world Spanish Towers have been simulated. Airways International is now regarded as a world-leading provider of ATC training and simulation services.

In Lebanon, an LCD tower simulator and two surveillance simulators were installed and commissioned for the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport. DGCA managers and air traffic controllers undertook simulation testing and training in New Zealand in April, before the simulators were shipped to Lebanon for installation and commissioning in May 2019.
