Experienced WebGL Developer

Animation Research is a world leading technology company best known for its real-time sports graphics package, "Virtual Eye". ARL's specialities also included smart city visualisation and advanced mobile development. We are looking for an experienced WebGL developer to join our Dunedin based team. The candidate would require a minimum of 2 years experience with web based technologies including:

  • WebGL (required)
  • Javascript (required)
  • Three.JS (required)
  • HTML5 (required)
  • PostgreSQL/PostGIS
  • Spatial queries
  • MySQL
  • PHP

Experience with the following would also be preferable but not required:
  • Babylon.JS
  • Applications: QGIS, ArcGIS
  • geocoding
  • Formats: GeoJSON, GML, Shapefiles
  • C / C++

Your duties would include adding functionality and expanding the capability of an existing platform. This work is focused around smart cities and infrastructure management. Ideally you will be a competent programmer, communicator and innovator. You will need some mathematical ability and real drive to get the work done. You need to work well with other people, and also work well under pressure. A relevant tertiary qualification and experience with other programming languages such as C++ would be an advantage.
